December Daily part1

OMG .....that is all I have to say ....this kit works wonderful for this December Daily ...it is not to late to start ...the pages go really fast because these colors just blend so well together with the holidays and everyday life ... I used the Kraft bag that Amy sent me and the little mini Doodlebug Storybook Key chain Album as part of my cover to the album that I got out of my closet ...you just never know what is in your scrapbook closet ...I added paint to the chipboard pages and then added different pages to my album ...thanks for looking!!!
This is a picture of my cover that I used the bag on the front and clustered some of the wonderful embellishments from the kit and then added some ink to the front:

This is a close-up of the cover and this awesome ribbon, chipboard pieces, paper and stickers ....so want some more ribbon!!!
This is what the inside cover looks like...

One of the major trends that I saw from the December Daily albums was adding page protectors with confetti and punches ...so I cut one up and made me this cute little shaker with paper that I punched from the kit and added the fuzzy rub ons from Basic Grey!!!

This is page one and it was the view of the day ...and mine that day was my cute December Daily ...and then I had fun altering the photo in Instagram!!!

This is my page two and the photo challenge was favorite holiday movie ....I used the negative part of the rub on to the second page and also made a pocket the to add my journaling tags ...

Can you tell how much I love this kit!!!

Some leftover love from my kit!!!

I never know what to do with all the little "extras" leftover from the kit ...so I saw this really cute idea on Cate Papers blog about making little embellishments and then pulling them out when you need to add something to a page, card or just need a gift tag ...so this is what I made with all the little "extras" from the kit!!!
First I cut out Jillibean Soup Grandma's Lima Bean Collection the different tags from Soup Bite Sized paper and Leek Bulb paper and then just started cutting out different things with my punches and then just started layering them and this is what I came up with ...

Nine different tag embellishments...

Then I put them in this glass container with a big tags hanging on the front of the jar.

And then I made one more page with this kit ...these pictures of my husband from 1984 just crack me up ....tooo funny ....he did not think this page was that funny!!!

2 more pages!!!

These colors are just so amazing ....they seem to go with everything ...I had a hard time picking what pictures to use on these pages!!!
This first one is of Snow White signing one of the autograph books at our Princess lunch on the California Adventure side of Disneyland ..I had fun with pattern paper as my background which I never do but I wanted to try something different and then added some fun punches to the vellum baggy ...with apples, mickey heads and hearts!!!

Then I had these random pictures of us from last spring break ( my hair was brown then ..not the most attractive!!) that needed to be scrapped!! I turned the base piece of blue paper backwards and then used the other piece of blue paper the correct way just to give it a different look and then cut butterfly wings and added them to my hidden journaling tags ...thanks for looking!!!

September Birds of a Feather kit

The paper was just calling to me to cut you out into the zig-zag pattern ...so fun and then I had to add some oil spots to the page ....we ask the kids before we get to Disneyland which ride is their favorite and we make sure that we ride that ride and this is Zane's favorite ...you would think with all the fast rides you can ride that a pre-teen boy would pick a rollercoaster ...but no ...the boys loves to drive!!! We have Nana & Pop's, then Peyton & Zane, next my sister & Bailey and last Colton and I on the open road!!!

I wanted to do a page with most of the tags that were in the kit ...so I layered then across the page and found this picture that I am sure Zane took with his brother ...I took the flower apart and misted it a different color to match my page and pulled out the center and added one of the big dots from the sticker sheet with a button and twisted the butterfly pin for the center of the flower, then misted the letters orange and frayed the edges..

This page has a little bit of everything that is "popular" in scrapbooking right now ....banner, hexagons, flowers, butterflies, kites, circles, pennants and paint ...that is what I love about this kit!!!

I  added a quote from what the bug says to you while you are sitting during the show around the edge of the page and then I hand cut "Bug Eyes" and then strung the banner thru the twine (love that stuff!!)

Love my new little instant camera!!!

I  thought that I would try the technique cutting out the title right on the page and I like the way it turned out!!! I also took the packaging from the Studio Calico paperclips with wool bows and added my picture inside and added the confetti to the bottom. My oldest Zane loves Churros from anywhere ...this is about the only time he will come in the "Bugs Life" section of Disney because he knows where that churro cart is ...so yummy with the cinnamon and sugar!!!

Birds of a Feather Mini Album!!!

Here is a link to all the wonderful kits from Birds of a Feather   here ...you will love them!!!
I just loved these little hangers to hang all the wonderful twine I got in the kits and then the paperclips with the bows helped me attach them onto the line of twine ..I also make the black/red flower with the washi tape by tearing the pieces, attaching them to cardstock in a swirl and then twirling them into a flower...

All this paper especially the Studio Calico paper with the note cards just screamed to me that it wanted to be a mini album ...so here is what I did ...we do alot of tailgating before the Houston Texans game, BBQ Cook-offs, and service our community ...so here are all the pages that I made ...thanks for looking!!!
