Step into Spring Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to my blog! Today we are celebrating the beginning of a new season with the Step into Spring Blog Hop brought to you by the Design Team from Memorable Seasons! If you did not start your hop today on the Memorable Seasons blog   here  , please jump back over there so you do not miss anything. Today we are looking at the word S-P-R-I-N-G and taking you through all the steps for creating a fabulous layout using an exclusive sketch created for this blog hop by Liz Chidester  the scrappiest , which was the first step! Then you should have came from Joni's blog   here  to mine .....

Mine is the letter R ....for "Repurpose" ......something that you would throw away or not normally use for scrapbooking ...like packaging from your scrapbooking supplies, cupcake liners, popcycle sticks, etc.
Here is the sketch if you missed it:

And here is my example up to this point. I used the different packaging and sewed it down to be one of my background pieces ...and then later you will see that I used the backing from the sun Jenni Bowlin Stamp as part of my journaling block ....

Now it's your turn to head on over to Megan's blog  here , where she will be giving you the 4th step in S-P-R-I-N-G!

Be sure to leave me a comment telling me what you think about this step. By doing so, you will be one step closer to a fabulous Memorable Seasons prize as well as getting your name entered in for a RAK from me! Also be sure to hop all the way until the end, where you will be taken back to the Memorable Seasons forum, where you will see a complete reveal of all the Design Team's finished layouts!

Have a nice day!

When I'm putting away my new scrapbooking supplies, I'm amazed at how much packaging I throw away. Guess I'd better start using it, right?

I am a follower now! I like the technique you used. I do have a stack for reusing but just don't always go to it!

So love the idea of how you used the old packaging. I love Jenny Bowlin's backgrounds for her products and you've found a very innovative way to use them. Fabulous idea Kristin!

I've started using a lot of packaging lately. I love all the grid backings that seem to come with stamps lately!

I love to save things to use again - this will have to be the 4th "R" Reduce, Reuse, Recycle or Repurpose - Scrapbookers doing their part for Earth Day!

great ideas! I have been noticing the companied are making the packing recyle-worthy. I hate throwing things away.

I'm a bad re-user but you made it look so easy. I will definitely start saving my packaging and try to work it into a layout every now and then!

Yep, I'm just now finding me some time to do this hop! Great tip on the repurposing, Kristin! Now I'm always on the lookout of how I can turn something into a way to use on a layout.
