Kristin's Kit Worksop for UA: Funky flowers

I decided to go "Old School" and revisit some old Autumn Leaves books that I had so I pulled this technique out of the "Designing with Paper" book that Cathy Blacktone did ...love her work!!!These are the products you will need:August KitCrayonLighterSewing MachineFirst I cut the word paper 5x12 and sewed it down and tore-up the edges....Then I heated up the crayon and started dropping the wax on the paperNext, I cut 1/2 strips of cardstock, dipped them into the water and started crumpling them ...then while they were still damp I shaped them into flowers and the machine stitched them down ...And here is the finished LO ...thanks for looking!!!

Since the beginning of my scrapbooking days I have always tried to be a little different and keep it fun ...so I will throw just about anything on a page ...so I was about to cut into the new DCWV paper pack "Doodling Around" ...and i looked at the front cover and thought ...." I could use that ".....so I started cutting into the chipboard front cover (since it was falling apart anyway) used the letter also and cut the upper right corner circle out too ..... and that is how I was thrifty today ...and going a little green also ....

Kristin's Kit Workshop: Keri's Kickin' Tags

One more "Kickin'" way to use Keri's tags .....I have been looking at some of the trends in scrapbooking right now and it is putting bits & pieces of paper and embellishments around your pictures...so this is what I came up with .... This is what you need:July kitGlimmer MistFirst I pulled out Keri's tags and cut out the pear and the cherries ...and then cut the rest of the tags in 1/2...

Next, I flipped the pear & cherries over and used them as a mask on the top left hand corner of my page and sprayed Glimmer Mist to make a masking effect (sorry for the bad pictures but white on white does not photo well) ..

Then I wanted to anchor everything on the page so I added some trim to the top and bottom of my photo to the page and then placed my tags where I wanted them, then distressed them and adhered them down ...next I put the little pearls in the circles were the numbers were and added my title ...last I scrapped the edges of my layout and added some ink .....thanks for looking!!!!
